It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Irene Ann Raffaghello. Surrounded by loved ones, she passed away unexpectedly in the early hours of Monday, March 13th, 2017. She is survived by her loving husband John, two children John and Robert, and her sister Joan Wingate. 

Irene was a very caring and compassionate person, and always put the needs of others before her own. Her second home, apart from the family farm in Mullica Hill, NJ, was in Ocean View, NJ. Here, she would spend the summers enjoying her gardening and collecting shells and sea glass on her beloved beach walks. Irene was an avid gardener; each spring, her flowers were the envy of all the neighbors. Her love of the search for the beauty in life took her on many adventures, including her favorite destinations, Hawaii and Alaska. 

Above all, Irene was a devoted wife and mother. She was a mother who always involved herself in every detail of her sons’ lives, and supported, respected and loved her husband unconditionally. 

Irene would tell you that the hours she spent in her kitchen, preparing delectable meals, was time well spent. She made holidays and birthdays very special occasions with handmade decorations and baked goods. We will all miss her one-of-a-kind cannoli’s!
